Description

The Google Analytics plugin for KDP is designed to help you understand how well your video content is performing online. It takes advantage of Google's new Flash API for Analytics so you can track events and notifications that occur within the player during playback and user interactions.

Add Google web analytics to your Kaltura Video Platform and get deep insight into your website traffic and marketing effectiveness.

The events tracking which includes information about what videos are watched, how long users watch each video and additional player performance notifications. The plugin aggregate the events, and passes along the relevant information for smart and easy to understand tracking within Google Analytics.

Installation Guide

Enter the KMC and click on the Studio tab.
In the Studio, edit the player of your choice.
Enter the Features tab and reveal the Additional parameters and plugins section.
Copy and paste the following line into the "Paste your plug-in line here" text box and click the "go" button:

Modify the googleAnalytics.urchinCode parameter to your Google Analytics tracking id (in the form of UA-#######-#).
Change the googleAnalytics.debugMode parameter to true in order to get visual debugging information window over the player.
